Founder

Late Shri Mahendrabhai I Shah

Founder

Long before Ayurveda found its place in the mainstream, Late Shri Mahendrabhai I. Shah had already dedicated his life to it. Armed an unshakeable belief in the healing power of nature, he began his Ayurvedic manufacturing journey in 1972 — at a time when bringing authentic classical medicines to the common person was both a challenge and a calling.

His motivation was simple and sincere: to make Ayurveda more accessible. He believed that the wisdom preserved in ancient classical texts — remedies refined over thousands of years — should not remain confined to books or elite practice, but should reach every home, every patient, and every family that needed it. That belief became the seed from which Paras Herbal Pharma eventually grew.

What set Mahendrabhai apart was not only his knowledge, but the warmth and humility with which he carried it. Deeply kind-hearted and extraordinarily passionate about Ayurveda, he led not through authority but through example — earning the trust of every person who worked alongside him. He had a quiet but firm belief in himself and in the people around him, and that confidence created a workplace culture built on mutual respect, dedication, and shared purpose.

Over the decades, he laid the foundation of a manufacturing philosophy that refused to cut corners — one where every formulation was prepared with the same care and classical rigour that the shastras prescribed. It was this standard, set by him in the earliest years of his career, that would go on to define Paras Herbal Pharma’s identity for generations.

Mr Jigar Shah

Managing Director

Mr Jigar Shah

Managing Director

Jigar Shah brings a rare combination of classical Ayurvedic grounding and globally informed business thinking to Paras Herbal Pharma. A graduate of B. Pharm (Ayurveda), he grew up immersed in the world Mahendrabhai built — learning the craft of authentic Ayurvedic manufacturing from the ground up, long before it became his professional responsibility.

He further strengthened his perspective with an MBA from the United Kingdom, gaining exposure to international quality systems, business operations, and pharmaceutical management practices. This blend of traditional knowledge and modern management thinking is what now drives Paras Herbal Pharma’s manufacturing excellence across both its GMP-accredited facilities in Vadodara and Karjan.

With over 20 years of hands-on experience, Jigar oversees every aspect of production — from raw material intake and classical preparation processes to batch quality, regulatory compliance, and capacity planning. He holds the belief: that an Ayurvedic medicine is only as good as the integrity with which it is made. That belief is built into every step of the manufacturing process at Paras.

Mr Maulik Shah

Managing Director

Dr Maulik Shah

Managing Director

Maulik Shah is the driving force behind Paras Herbal Pharma’s commercial operations. With a foundation in commerce and over 35 years of rich experience in the Ayurvedic industry, he has built the kind of market presence and network that only decades of genuine relationship-building can create.

One of his most significant contributions to the company is the establishment of a robust pan-India procurement network for raw herbs and Ayurvedic drugs. Maulik personally oversees the sourcing of the finest quality ingredients — from medicinal herb farms and certified suppliers across different regions of India — ensuring that the classical purity Paras Herbal Pharma is known for begins right at the source, long before manufacturing begins.

Beyond procurement, Maulik manages the company’s marketing strategy and the full spectrum of business operations outside the factory floor. What makes Maulik particularly effective is his ability to understand both the business side and the human side of every relationship. Clients don’t just see him and Paras Herbal Pharma as a supplier — they see them as a partner who genuinely understands their needs and stands behind every product Paras Herbal Pharma delivers.
